The short version: we collect nothing.

Ear Drills NL (the “App”) is developed by DeepSoft (“we”, “us”) and is designed to work entirely on your device. The App does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Information we collect

None. The App does not request, gather, or send any personal or device information to us or to any third party. It does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, photos, or identifiers. We do not know that you installed the App, how often you open it, or which episodes you play.

Data stored on your device

The App remembers your progress: which episodes you have heard, how many seconds of each, your quiz and dictation results, your saved episodes, your daily goal, and your settings. All of it lives in a single small file in the App’s private storage and is never uploaded. It is included in your iPhone backup if you back your phone up, because that is how iOS backups work — that copy is yours and Apple’s, not ours. Deleting the App deletes the file, and “Reset progress” in Settings clears it.

Network use

Every episode, every recording and every word of the glossary is bundled inside the App when you download it. Using the App makes no network requests at all. There are two exceptions, both of which you start deliberately: buying or restoring the full collection, which talks to Apple’s App Store and not to us; and tapping the link to our website in Settings, which opens your browser. Those services are governed by Apple’s and your browser’s own privacy policies.

Purchases

The full collection is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Your payment details go to Apple and never pass through us — we never see your name, your card, your email address or your Apple Account. Apple tells the App one thing: whether this Apple Account has bought the unlock. Apple provides us with aggregate sales reports, which contain no information about individual people.

Third parties

The App contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. No data is provided to third parties because no data is collected.

Children’s privacy

The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. There is no chat, no user-generated content, and no advertising.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to show you or erase. Your on-device progress is already yours. The data controller, in the sense the GDPR means it, is DeepSoft, at the address below.

Synthesised audio

Every line in the App is spoken by a synthesised voice rather than recorded by an actor. This section is informational and does not affect your privacy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date. If a future version of the App ever collects anything, that change will be described here before that version ships, and it will be opt-in.
